rip indicator because it's most naturally expressed as a boolean (person is either ripping or not). How full a miner is most naturally expressed as a percentage, full / not full representation only gives part of the picture (a comm would probably want to send a 95% full miner home instead of to another rock to get a tiny bit more out, but the "not full" icon won't tell them that).
Miner fullness is best displayed as an aditional bar above the hull and shields bars.
Rip indicator
"Miner fullness is best displayed as an aditional bar above the hull and shields bars. " I agree but this involves more work/data. Knowing if a miner is 100% full or not is better than what we have now (no idea, nothing, zilch, zero). So unless you are going to implement the miner's He3 capacity bar I suggest you back off.
After reading Youngmoose's suggestion I am swayed to implement this "Gem" as his rip indicator which is the reason I am posting here in the first place!

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

Actually, comms often have a general idea about how full a miner is from how full the rock it just emptied was / how long it's been there.Imago wrote:QUOTE (Imago @ Aug 16 2009, 01:41 PM) Knowing if a miner is 100% full or not is better than what we have now (no idea, nothing, zilch, zero).
anyway, we're all in acreement that it's better to implement the ripping indicator than the miner full one
