I can't stay logged into th FAO...
I used to be logged on for days but now it resets when I restart Firefox.
I manually made sure cookies are allowed but it made no diff.

I know, the problem is most probably on my end but I'd appriciate a hint as to what it might be.

Check Tools->Options->Privacy Tab

Make sure that "accept cookies" is checked, and that "accept third party" is also checked, and make sure the drop down doesn't say "I close firefox". Also make sure "clear history when firefox closes" is not checked.

It's all the way it should be... double checked.
Ran some tests... it's most def on my end.
FF ignores most login cookies... every damn website I checked except Steel Fury forums. Fraking annoying. :bang:

I just save the PW for the site. And rarely close firefox, I use hibernate rather than shutdown, etc.

The nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being either proven right or pleasantly surprised.

Firefox does have an option to delete stuff on exit. Don't have FF on this comp to determine the exact manner to get to it, but check that that isn't on.

Tools - Options - Privacy - Private Data

Make sure "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox" isn't checked. Or if it is, that cookies are not selected in the settings.

your isp could also assign new ips more often than before, i think these boards use that for your session.

This is driving me NUTS!
I can't stand having to waste those precious few seconds every time I want to go to here and there...

I checked everything, it's all the way it should be.
Cookies are there, they're not being deleted (I can see a ton of ancient cookies there).
The IP can't be it since I get logged out everytime I restart FF and I'm online 24/7 with a router anyhow.

It's most definitely FF doing something weird with cookies but frak me I can't figure out what it is.

EDIT:
I think i may have tricked FF into doing it's job... I deleted the FAO cookie and the new cookie seems to be working better... for now.
