really good job Andon!! You did a great work there, it was far more different experience than playing a PUG under the ZG title.Andon wrote:QUOTE (Andon @ Aug 1 2009, 10:55 PM) Alright, so this went a little worse than I expected, but it was still fiendishly fun for the most part. Considering it was the FIRST time ANYTHING like this has ever been attempted, I think it went very well. It'll make the next time something similar to this happens much, much better.
Zone Game 32!

Just remember to say ZG team when we do events. Although this one was mostly setup for Andon, we don't like taking individual credit for each one. Most are a big team effort, even if it is just ideas.Solamnus wrote:QUOTE (Solamnus @ Aug 1 2009, 09:01 PM) really good job Andon!! Remember, what I say is IMO always. If I say that something sucks, it actually means "I think it sucks" OK?

ahah, expendable ^^ couldn't it be selfless? That's what yo get for getting fearlessly into the fray! Banzai!
That said, i would like to congratulate the ZG team for a game which has given me a different kind of thrill to the already enjoyable pug routine: i understand it's the first time such a game mode has been tried. Well wasn't it the same for DotA in wc3? I say, roll on! Maybe it developed into a gigantic furball but i think this con def on epic scale has a lot of potential, even storywise: it's not just field battles anymore, but also logistics... i make an example: storywise one faction could be transporting resources to an division which would otherwise be cut off. Reminds me of some missions there were in the TPS Emperor battle for dune where you or the enemy would get timed reinforcements (or SW galactic empires) in columns and you'd have to attack or defend to keep this "flow". It would be nice if there was a kind of option like this, with maybe a column of freighters bringing cashboxes one should defend and the other could assault for a cash injection?
Anyways. Nice job!
