Faction win/loss

Since ImmZ mentioned here that the game faction information is logged, and since I'm interested in the statistics very much, I wonder if I'm allowed to contribute in this area.

What's this 'logging' format? Plain text? SQL database entries? Other database? Binary data?

Am I allowed to be given a sample of the logs, for parsing purposes?

I'm not at home with web applications, so what I'll do first is a local statistical application, but I don't think it's that hard to incorporate the logic into some web-service etc. Especially since, as I guess, the ASGS online part is running on IIS: I've worked a little with IIS web-services, so I think I would succeed.

Or are my contributions not welcome at all?

I know that Baker is already working on it, maybe you should hit him in the IRC and ask if you can co-operate.

I saw in another topic that he did the job already. Too bad he ignores me so far.
I don't like IRC: on the forum I don't have to coordinate my free time with someone else's.
