Vly vs McWarren [IC Omnitech vs TF Expremacy]
Assuming mcW was TF what more does one need besides 3 sectors and 1 miner?
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
It seems that every time I decide to play "just a quick game" I get sucked into huge multi-hour whorefests.
I logged in last night to just sit in AFK until all games were completed before doing a bit of server maintenance; I didn't want to drop people mid-game.
A game's an hour in? Might as well join it until it ends.
3 hours later it's almost 4am and my eyes are bleeding. The sleep deprevation made me actually forget what server maintenance I was gonna do! I logged into stripe and saw my query pre-written and ready to run giving me an "A-ha" moment, as well as a bit of fear - I could no longer think enough to proofread it before hitting RUN.
Oh well.
That game was a lot of fun. I joined McWarren4's team when he was down 6 players; I was sure he would lose. We actually turned it around briefly when we recapped the garrison (the first recap) and rebuilt hope/team self esteem.
Unfortunately tiredness kicked in and took that away from us again rather quickly.
Great game.

Against mini3 IC hvy ints spidey. We couldn't mine. The last miner that died before I decided to go the payday route there were 12 hvy ints vs 7 heavy scout nans with ss3 and nan2 and a few enh figs. The nans all died literally in less than 7 seconds.
I will say that once we got a miner up again those three sectors bought a ton of stuff and the he3 regen bought a whole lot more.
Tiger was one of my cash whores

Tiger, the next time I play against you, all i will do is follow you around and shoot your probes. That was one of the most annoying tricks I've ever seen done, placing one or two probe next to every one of my He rocks, and harassing my miners to boot. For a while there I would get an aye and expect ints within 25 seconds. The hard part was not mining, but finding your dastardly probes.

I knew the miner was there for ages, I saw it going into the Starbase sector to DM and mentioned it (tried to kill it too but I was solo against defence). We just didn't bother plus we were all too tired. I've seen comebacks as I'm sure you have when the map and tech dominant team has let the enemy slowly but steadily roll them back a base at a time until they're dead, around the time we lost our SY, the SY got pushed into our Exp from the newly recapped Starbase and the midhi op got capped I was getting worried apathy would lose us the game.mcwarren4 wrote:QUOTE (mcwarren4 @ Jan 27 2009, 09:41 AM) I'm sorry Crono, but how can you say at any point your team was on the ropes? Vly did a tremendous job pushing cons early on limiting us to only three mining sectors and directing his team to cleaning up what little mining we had. Pushing that exp con in to where he did was just brilliant. Had he built the exp anywhere else on the map you guys would have lost.
Yellow kicked ass scouring the map for cash and we PAYDAYED advanced exp and hvy ints and tt and htt and adv miners. It wasn't until I had adv miners did we finally start mining again. That single miner purchased us 3 SY cons, a garrison con, adv sup, adv figs, figbees, tp2, a tac, sfigs, and the adv cons, and the remaining exp GA's. Suprisingly it seemed like blue didn't even notice the miner until it got caught in the wrong place during an attack on our garrison.
This move got me worried too. I think this was a game of whores(Blue) vs probers(Yellow). Surprisingly, the only sector that yellow never bothered to probe was the one we used to cap that garr 5 times. Every other sectors had hundreds of probes.
No one on blue really bothered to probe your home(which was less than 2k from our exp). You guys could have killed our exp if you would have tried it more. The only reason we kept it was that the red door was facing in the right direction.
I think it would have been a much funnier game(Probably epic) if it wasn't so late. I was just too tired to enjoy it after a while.
I know that blue were down 3/4 at one point in the game too.
I didn't figure out yellow had a miner untill I saw all those techbases. I knew you guys were working hard for cashboxes, but that was just too much.
I think not rebuying miners for a while was a grewat move on yellow, when you got it, we forgot about killing miners.

It was a lot of fun though. Some truly great furballs and some quality whoring. Also it got more fun for me when Defi showed up, esp. when I accidentally rammed her head on at an aleph.
