i was reading drstrnglv's top 10 commanding tricks.

#9 say's stay in the damn base. don't fly around. there are so many things
to do in base that you can't do while flying around. if you want to be a pilot in
a game, let someone else command.

wonder if this applies in today's allegiance?

For the most part yes. I am a firm believer in that rule. One of the only coms I have seen be effective outside of base is Ghey Sailor

#9 is still good advice for 99% of commanders. Just because Spidey and Aarm can pull off flying and running their econ doesn't mean you should try it.

That said, comms like Grey were able to handle comming while flying before you were born.

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

That is one of the better "general" commanding guides I've seen Spidey, and it proves that despite how much we think Allegiance has changed, the basics remain the same!

3. Keep an "asteroid type cheat sheet" with you.. remember that green =tactical, blue = supremacy center and orange = expansion.

If you have to keep that don't even bother commanding.

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.

Are you kidding? If I didn't fly to defend my miners and cons I would never win as commander.
