People SUCK at aiming
What's next? We need bots for Allegiance? Allegiance is a team game, no solo game.Sirevilninja wrote:QUOTE (Sirevilninja @ Dec 12 2008, 06:29 PM) An Idea would be to have automatic turrets on cap ships
If you want bots, check out pigs on source code.

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
good point but you could just like add 2 auto turrets plus the regular out fit of manned turrets on cap ships because more often than not there is not really enough people in a game to fully man a cap ship and have spare enough spare people to do other important tasks

This would unbalance small games with cap ships even more making the 'problem' worse not better. First one to cap ships wins every time if you can add 2 auto turrets. It would be like adding two players, that shoot like vets, to your team. Most people already do not care much for the cores that have drones in them. While an interesting idea, in practice it does not work well with Allegiance IMHO.
