I was wondering if we can make a offline allegiance game , you know like instead of players we get to fight Bots but since programing bots to bomb, scout, probe etc would be too big so can we just get a good dogfight training. Seriously the Training mission 6 (Practice) is boring now, I would like to fly a sf or an int or maybe a ''MORE TRAINING MISSON MOD'' in which extra missions are like solo a miner and choose your ship or D against a bomber run etc.

This is a good idea I think, and it crossed my mind when I was looking at the Training source code the other day.
If we could create a trainign scenario generator or add some more training missions, we may be able to get the newbs less shellshocked when they first join the main game.
I'd like to do some coding for this when I have time but RL means my free coding time is short (and I spend much of the Free time I do have on playing Alleg rather than coding).

It crossed my mind long ago, but i forgot all about it, it would be so great and i totally agree with you both.

Making the training missions is a HUGE amount of work. AEM (and others) but a lot of work into the training mission. If people want to build more of them we will definitely use them. I'd ping him if you are interested. I have not worked on them personally.

But remember training mission with ship of our choice since i want to kill a miner with an int not a SF fill with DF
. Oh that reminds me Training mission (Enemy Engagement) it get stuck either on CHAT SESSION or when i get my controls , i couldn't increase my speed. Just sitting there seeing those yummy miners get away

Hmm...Yeah, it would be nice to pick and choose your own ship. I can just see it:
Practice arena 2
You and the enemy both have an outpost in a sector. Enemy Enh Fighters, Stealths, Ints, and Miners are spawned. You are allowed any of those ships' advanced forms (except miners, of course). You are also allowed Gunship and maybe Bomber. Maybe also if you request a ship that costs money:
Instructor Voice-Over: Request Granted. However, in a real combat situation, a commander will be unlikely to grant you a ship that costs money until you have some real flight hours to your name. Don't get used to it.
Also, the Allegiance program should be openable offline. There's been a bunch of times when I've been unable to get online and wanted to take a crack at the practice arena.

Sadly it will take TOOO MUCH coding (i think its almost impossible) to make a enh fig fire a missile at his own command, make int boost and a Sf cloak and de-cloak when using sniper ,also having fire a missle thingie.MicoolTNT wrote:QUOTE (MicoolTNT @ Dec 16 2008, 01:13 PM) Hmm...Yeah, it would be nice to pick and choose your own ship. Can't you just run the Allegiance Exe directly from C:\program Files\Allegiance (or wherever it is) which will start it without ASGS?MicoolTNT wrote:QUOTE (MicoolTNT @ Dec 16 2008, 08:13 AM) Also, the Allegiance program should be openable offline. Ryo is correct. No AI controlled ship in a training mission can fire a missile, cloak, or boost. It doesn't mean there can't be more training missions though. You could still have a miner killing training mission and a bomber D training mission (defending against TF or Rix bombers).RyoRichard wrote:QUOTE (RyoRichard @ Dec 16 2008, 02:09 AM) Sadly it will take TOOO MUCH coding (i think its almost impossible) to make a enh fig fire a missile at his own command, make int boost and a Sf cloak and de-cloak when using sniper ,also having fire a missle thingie.
btw notJarvis, where did you find the training source code?
