We all develop preferences, but it's good to be able to fly (and to enjoy) all factions.

Andon: Absolutely fantastic advice. Thank you very much, I'll take it all into account. Now, despite my knowledge of the web, I've never been big on IRC. Any programs you would suggest?

Also, no need to worry about me recruiting just for numbers. Quality over quantity. I've seen my family screw up with that on WoW (I don't play it, I despise it). I know how to look for who's good.

Dorjan: Also really good advice to me. I'm not even a Cadet yet (Nugget suits me better, I'd say, until the end of Cadet I at the least) so I have a long way to go, but who's to say I'll never get better or, indeed, maybe become an Ace? Maybe I will be good enough to recruit for a Squad. Who knows?

Thank you both for the advice. I'd still prefer to run my own Squad in time, and both of your suggestions will help immensely. Let's see where I go.

There are lots of people that do them. Many do their own. If you run into problems, pm me and i'll try to point you in the direction of someone.

Thanks, I'd appreciate that. I'll wait until a banner would actually suit me, of course. But I already know I'd never be able to do a good one on my own.

I admit, I did take the idea. I did it more as a reminder to myself to not forget the simpler goals that will lead to the bigger ones. I can remove them if you like?

Also, I don't think Cadet I gives wings, I think that's only Cadet 2.
