I'm new, as the title states rather plainly.
Since I'm tired and sore (freakin' work), I'll keep things relatively short: I came here hoping to find a mature gaming community that also knows how to have fun. I want to play an online game without being called any number of racial slurs or what-have-you. And it seems I may have finally found a game with a community that will more than suit this.
I know every game has its group of good and bad people (except XBox Live, that has nothing but bad it seems), but here's hoping the good REALLY outweighs the bad.
I'm really looking forward to meeting new faces, flying with them, and possibly killing them too. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
I've yet to complete Cadet I officially, but I have read a ton of the material. I think I have finally found a game that I can REALLY be into.
In advance, I wanna thank everyone for having me, and for putting up with my nonsense. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I hope I can be a real help when it comes to the Squad Matches.

/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Hello.
Here's my standard newbie advice:
Remember that although there are nice people here, if you make a thread on somthing that isn't totally correct on the forums in the next four months, you will be flamed. If you make a thread on something that is correct on the forums, people will first laugh at you because they already knew that, then will flame you. Of course, there are people like me who won't flame you, but you still need to be careful. Participating in threads has had much better results than making them.
That being said, the trick to being useful in game is to realize that dogfighting is not what wins games. Pay attention to the minimap and what the commander says, then actually do it, and the commander will love you more than most other players.
Hope to see you in game. Good luck
P.S. People here are nice, just don't give them an excuse to pounce.

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.
