QUOTE Game is installed to the system drive. I get to the lobby (ASGS works okay and everything boots up okay.) Once I hit 'join game,' the mouse pointer changes to a smaller hourglass type thing once it reaches 'Joining Mission...' and just freezes where it last was. I end up having to terminate the process. Same thing happens when I enter lobby then hit '< Back' at the bottom.[/quote]
But I am in fact able to join and play on the nonzone stripe server at times, but not on the GPZ or any of the others. Also when I hit back anywhere, the game freezes. I have no firewall or antivirus agent installed anymore, and the windows firewall is disabled.
Get the feeling my connection gets delayed somewhere upon switching connections between servers. First thing ill be trying is connecting through utp.
Allegiance freezes upon joining servers

Well for now I've been able to play with both wireless and with UTP, and also the problem occurs on both occasions. So i'm guessing the problem has nothing to do with that.
Ive just played for more then 2hours and tried going back to the lobby, that worked, but upon joining the same server the problem reoccurs. The mistery remains.

Anyway thanx for your effort none the less, and this game is woth the hiccoughs.

Hmm, it shows a hourglass?
Try this : Before you hit the button, switch to windowed mode (Alt+Enter) and watch for any firewall messages when you click the button.
Sometimes it just so happens that you can't rejoin a server that you get dropped from until the game in progress ends. I don't have any explanation for this though - its almost like the server doesn't close whatever port you were using and it just refuses to reconnect you.

Well Grimm I dunno what else to say, the problem occurs on utp lan cable just the same as it does on wireless, sometimes allegiance freezes sometimes it does not. Also I've noticed that the server I join doen't really matter. As of a few min ago I've played GPZ as smoothly as I did Stripe.
Again when I quit allegiance and restart it (back freezes allegiance) I get the same problem. Perhaps its some timeout-counter orso, preventing me from reconnecting within a certain time.
As for the windowed firewall prompt: Immortalz, Ive run it both windowed and full screen and never got any of these prompts. But keep the suggestions coming I appreciate it alot!

Hey guys, I've found what my problem was..
I don't know if you guys are familiar with it but Hamachi sets you up with an extra 'virtual ethernetcard'. I dissabled the networkcard in networkconfig and don't have any problems anymore connecting to games.
Only when I hit back does allegiance still freeze, but other then that all is going smoothly. So i'm happy as ever, and hope this piece of info can shed more light on probs going around.
My guess is that since ASGS and Hamachi both have kinda the same goal, that it conflicted with eachother. ASGS is working much smoother now.
Anyway,
Cheers and cyaround!
