Will AMT2 align bases properly so the model doesn't have to be on it's side?

Idea/suggestion for the above: somehow have it so that you can select one direction (NSEW, top and Bottom) as 'Down'

yeah that's the *thing* everyone always wanted to do but never had time to /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

the only part I haven't decided yet is 'qhull'.

cvh.exe which is very simple can be easily rewritten in C# and integrated in ATM2. But cvh.exe calls the external tool qhull.exe.

So either I'll port qhull source to C#, or make qhull into a .dll or find a 3rd party convex hull library (If anyone have feedback on CGAL that would help).
I really don't want to generate temporary files and call qhull.exe like cvh.exe does.

Inspiration & help are always welcome.

I like the doors. A bit less the group (frame) cube.

The mesh is fine but could use a different color than green.

You could use a physics library to generate convex hulls, I can send you some old code to do it if you want, it would at least give you a good start.

QUOTE read/write .X file format as well as native alleg .mdl/.cvh format.[/quote]
YOU ARE WIN!

will it read modern .x formats? or will it be restricted to that old version which one of the current tools is?
will we be able to specify our cvh boxes manually in our normal tools like we do now?
will it allow us to specify light's phase etc? (i was gonig to ask you about the allegiance mdl format so i could write a tool that reads it, allows the user to modify the lights phase etc and then save it back, but if you're doing something that does it then.. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> )

Oh boy my icons suck when reduced 50% !
If 16x16 will be the final size, I'll reduce the size myself as I really hate the way it's done automatically.

Regarding the mesh icon, I'll make it a dark green or blue.

I didn't understand exactly what the group icon is for, I see now that it's used not just at the top of the object tree.
I'll think of a better symbolic representation.

Hmm... too bad it's 16x16, I'd have liked to use a nut and bolt or a screw for the mount ... won't be recognizable at 16x16 though. I guess I'll draw a more exaggerated spanner.

FYI it will take me some time. I was on a roll earlier but it never lasts. You'll be using the first round of icons for a while.

How about a cartoon bomb for effects ?
The light is the hardest part. I tried making a light-bulb but it looks awful.
Would a symbol related to the Egyptian sun god Ra work ? I'm kidding but I can't think of any symbolic representation of light which you instantly "get".
