Some time ago, a user altered model textures so that every ship appeared to be bright white. This was considered cheating and the user was locked out of the game until ASGS had verified that the textures were restored. Altering the prox mine sprites for the explicit purpose of making them more visible can be considered a similar practice, and would probably be counted as cheating.

If anything, as a scout whore I'd like to make prox mines less visible.
Anyway, I'm not planning to deviate from the basic visible size and color intensity of the default mine.
IMHO this would be a very marginally useful cheat anyhow.
Eventually this will be up to the community. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
FYI improved sprites for bullets are much more useful and are not considered a cheat ... more of a fix.
IIRC the default aleph size is twice what's used in the standard maps. Again, more a fix than a cheat.

Place these in the Allegiance/Artwork folder after backing up the original fxminebmp.mdl
It may crash your game when you deploy prox or when you see prox deployed by someone else.
I strongly suggest you try it on a solo server before joining a game.
Please report any problems to me ASAP.
Edit - fixed file, should be crash free now.
