Oh, I also agree that the source code should not be handled like the content of Fort Knox.

It often turns out to be misunderstanding and miscommunication. That way your squad acts like a safety line because someone else must remove you from the squad roster, giving some time to think the events.
There is nothing to prevent you from rejoining a squad if you regret leaving.
peet wrote:QUOTE (peet @ Jul 11 2008, 04:53 AM) There are also admins who can remove a player from a squad. This is a backup procedure. If in squad xyz more players are kept hostage, we should discuss this in the forum.
No, there aren't really. Admins (rightfully) feel funny editing the rosters of squads, this is an easy answer for them.

There is nothing preventing you REQUESTING to rejoin a squad if you regret leaving. See, one can emotional push the "leave" button if that exist, but someone has to do the bookkeeping to rejoin you. I don't think squadleaders want people leaving and rejoining all the time.

Admins should do what they are supposed to do, iron the wrinkles and make this a fun place to be.

If your squad administration didn't want you to leave and then prevented you from rejoining, you shouldn't rejoin because your leaders sound like a bunch of $#@!s.

Orion wrote:QUOTE (Orion @ Jul 11 2008, 02:11 AM) It would be nice if members who no longer wished to stay in a squad could leave of their own volition and not have to rely on squad leadership who may not want them to leave, or try to coax an administrator who would be placed into the awkward position of having to intervene in squad affairs.

Agree.

It's not broken, so don't go trying to fix it, please.

Thanks,

Having access to your own account would be sexy... putting in an application to a squad this way would be cool too. You could submit your application and the squad leadership of the squad can have a discussion in thier squad and either accept or deny said application.

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.
