My idea: New faction for Allegiance

I don't know. but it included all of the things for the models - Textures included. Someone else around here would know.

However, making your own models in the spirit of the 'nix models, while more difficult, is much more rewarding and original

Just so you know, factions take a long time to make. Omicron Hive has been in the works for over 2 years... Since before the FA boards switched over to this new blue/black style. The OH faction post was also the very first post in the new development zone after the switch over (There was also a 10 or so page thread on the old board).

And some factions were started BEFORE Omicron Hive and still arn't out yet; due to how long the models take to texture etc.

Most of the unique factions (textures, models, weapons) are copyrighted by Noir. There is one on another core which isn't, but I forget the name of it because I never play anything other than DN (Noir's Core). I think you can modify the orginal factions released "open source" by microsoft, but no one would like it if you just changed the colors of the ships or something. You probably wouldn't find a core "owner" who would want to put it up to be played either.

So pretty much it's "make your own ships and textures" unless you can find someone who's kind enough to let you use/convert theirs. Even then it'd be best if it didn't look like a faction that already exists. My two cents.

The Armored Raptors are a group of rebels which fled from the Phoenix Order. Since they were with the Phoenix, they have knowledge on the schematics of 'nix ships, and so their ships are similiar to the Phoenix. Their colors are repainted to differentiate themselves from nix.

Nope, GT was owned by me & spunk, and Dreg was owned by Veggy, (effix is maybe the faction you couldn't think of, which was "owned" by me and pkk).. however now that we have contributed them to the community, they belong to Microsoft, and anyone can do whatever they want w/ them. I only request that you do so respectfully, but you are not obligated to do anything I ask.

In other words, you have free reign over any content in the Artwork folder or on autoupdate. Have fun.

The name sounds... corny... Armored Raptors... might aswell call them Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The story wouldn´t fit since tree huggers don´t fight. Try erm.... Giga Corp Development and Phoenix Research created a hybrid of machine and human in order to understand the Technoflux ways but still control the hybrids and eliminate the threat in order to create a brighter future for man kind but the scientists gave the AI too much human personalities and it began to wonder its purpose slowly infesting the Phoenix and GigaCorp systems with the conclusion that humanity is an infestation to everything slowly using and destroying everything. GigaCorp shut down operations after their systems failed and 23 stations were left destroyed. The Phoenix were foolish and continued to develop unknowingly giving more power to the hybrids. Finally without warning the hybrids detonated an arsenal of nuclear and thermonuclear devices on the Phoenix killing the order. The hybrids took up to arms hiding in the the asteroid belt where the Phoenix order resided rapidly developing and constructing more hybrids. Many of the other factions began to see loses in their numbers as the hybrids captured and enslaved the humans and even aliens they captured. A new fate awaits the universe.
