O.k. Olive - lot's of good ideas AND good enthusiasm. Let's concentrate on the "how" for now and we'll work on the "what" later.

I think we really need buy-in from the FreeAllegiance.org admins (would this be Thalgor? TE? )for as a minimum a link on the FA.org page. Then we can discuss the page itself. Whoever hosts it, I do not want it to be on a part-time server or a link that will be defunct in six months.

THEN we can work on content. Sound good?

Why not put it on the wiki?

Another good option, Andon...but that would be up to TB.

It's called the Missing Man Formation. I was thinking about the same thing too, yesterday -- it's an element that could perhaps be performed in an in-game memorial service.

We do not need a "Fallen Memorial", a website, a badly-rendered parade of ints or any other overblown nonsense. Just do what we did when Titty_Baby passed on - play a memorial game, have a minutes silence before it, and name a sector after him (tbh it might be better his RL name rather than screenname).
“Life,” the belgian agri observed, “is a long dialogue with imbeciles.’’

1) Thanks for your support and understanding of the desire to show respect and honor to Allegiance members that have passed.

2) It's not just for Sean, it's ALL members that have passed, past, present, and future.

3) This is not over blown nonsense, but then that may be a matter of opinion.

4) Let's hope that you do not pass unexpectedly.

Agri, you're such the crudmudgeon. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Look if they want to have a memorial website, let them, so long as noone is forced to pay tribute when they don't really want or be obligated to . You can just ignore whatever's going on. TBH, I hardly new Opti and I can't find the drive to go overboard in a memorial for him. I think Agri is right tho, a memorial game and moment of silence should be enough, at least for me.

Anybody can create a memorial website, you can do it yourself on your own domain space. BV does that for AllegAcademy. A link to an external website is enough and probably not alot of trouble. Whoever runs the memorial site has the responsibility to keep it and running. There's no need to make more work for our current admins as they are busy enough as it is. Heck he already has a memorial website. You guys could even go pool money and buy a candle for him.

I encourage you guys to go out and act on your own to pay tribute to him. L1ngus didn't need to get FAZ approval to do probe art and it was probably even more meaningful because of it. Heck, most of you guys have empty sig space that you could use - probably better than any website as it will give everyone a daily reminder. Things dont' have to be so institutionalized.
