Allegiance Fallen Memorial
I think it would be a good idea to honor those we have lost in RL. I would be willing to contribute monitarily to help offset the cost of hosting, just trying to get basic thoughts on what the community thinks, where and how such a page could be hosted. Let's save specific ideas on the memorial itself until we know how/if the community receives the idea.

"What if, star sailor, I were to come over your house and punch you in the $#@!ing face?!
Will that finally get you to shut the hell up?!?" -- neotoxin
sure, this game have run and will continue to run for a long time, so this would be a good idea.
It could be a webpage linked somewhere, or a heavily moderated thread which keeps a wall of text for each persons.
However, its use would hopefully be sparse, yet remembered when needed.

I was thinkin' the same thing, Tink - or a link under site nav Main that opens a new page with a memorial.
However, that would entail some work by the custodians of the FA.org site and their input is critical.

I love this idea! I'd have no problem setting up the web page/site, and I have an idea for it.
First would be the index page:
The banner has a formation of ints flying overhead, one of them flies up and away. (I think that's an Air Force way of honoring the departed.)
TAPS (the military version) is playing in the background...Maybe/maybe not on that.
A list of the departed showing their Avatar/R.L photo (if we can get one...optional on the photo.)
Next to their name is the date they joined Alleg, the squad they were in if they were in one, they day they passed.
Clicking on their name will bring you a separate page for them alone. On that page is:
The same information that's on the index page (date joined, squad info, date passed)
Photos, if the family that wants them posted
Comments by other players and squad mates about them (only positive comments allowed.)
A dedication to their memory and something to honor them.
Links to the home page, add comments (moderated) and others that have passed (that's optional, but not a bad idea.)
It would also be good to have copies of any awards they have earned in the game.
It would take about a day to set up, then however long for the information about the players to be added.
Thoughts? Comments? Opinions?
