Quick question on map making.

Is there a way to specify the exact location of everything in a map ( starting bases, rocks, tech rocks and alephs) so that none of it is randomized?

Yes, except for alephs. I'm not sure if it's possible to 'unrandomise' alephs. But you realise they stay in pretty much the same spot?

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Aleph placement is the problem. I'm hoping to play with an alpeh leading into another aleph. Reading the downloads section it sounds like aleph randomization is an addition to the server. Anyone know if that's changed in more recent versions?

In my map tests, I've never downloaded it, and it's been random every time.

It used to not be that way, IIRC. Some version of the Alleg server broke the racecore map, which used to be constant, I thought.

Yeah I was sure you used to be able to tell where alephs were placed.
