Dreg exp
Looking at the faction perks, you'd think that Dreg sup (with missle GA's) or tac would be optimal. So whats with the obsession with dreg ints?

Dreg intz are fast, yo.

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.

The appeal of dreg exp is less about the ints and more about con and miner speed. With dreg enh cons you can push your cons farther and faster than anyone else, and adv cons are supah fast. So you can grab a huge chunk of the map before your enemy and then defend it with ints. he speed GAs also give mining ludicrous speed, allowing you to mine out half a map while your enemy is still chugging through their first and second sector.
But still, the ints are agile due to less mass and crazy quick and there's definitely a significant advantage to that (basically no ship in the game can catch you if you need to run away).

Doesn't Dreg have Speed, and Turn Torque Perks?
Both those elements are lethal for Ints, speed and maneuverability.
I find speed and maneuverability an intense element in dogfighting.
By maneuverability I mean turning your ship on a dime to be the first guy to land some Mini Bullets on your enemy who is turning to face you...
Highest Ship Speed (1.2) - Simply put, identical speed to Fighters
Highest Ship turn torque (1.35) - (Edit: Ints are the most maneuverable ships in Alleg, and Dreg Ints become even more maneuverable with this Perk) If you're going against 3 newb figs, you need to be able to kill one, turn around fast, kill another one, turn around fast and kill the last one. Or you could use this perk defensively and turn on your enemies 9 o clock and run, without your enemy getting a clean bullet on your hull.
Lower Signature (1.2) - Dreg Ints can sometimes sneak behind enemy lines, and not even worry about boosting because of there speed perk.
Great agility (1.25)
And that's why I find Dreg Hvy Ints are one of my fav ships in Alleg.
Edit: Hehe yesterday was my Allegiance Anniversary! (I am now approximitely 1 year old)

...No they don't...
They have:
Lower hull strength (.9)
Poor scan range (.9)
I don't think the poor scan range really wrecks the already horrific scanning of Interceptors, and the Lower Hull Strength is a slight step back on Dreg Ints, but meh, I'll stick to my not getting hit by bullets because I'm so fast rather then the Belter Ints and head straight for the enemy get swarmed by bullets and still kill your enemy.

Bouwman, best not to argue with IB. He is, again, correct. From ICE:
Sensors .9
Signature .95
Hull .9
Bouman's ability to look before speaking 0.00001

Hull .9
Bouman's ability to look before speaking 0.00001
