Ignoring newbies' request to join, national sport of Comms?
hatkyinc is a frequent comm on the side game servers. It's dissapointing to hear how he treated you, he's not that bad of a guy.
Say something on all chat to both teams, usually the peer pressure will make him accept you. Otherwise, mail Ozzy or BV or someone and they will deal with them for you.
As far as newbies go, I try to keep games as fair as possible. Newbies tend to get annoying, but ofton I find newbies are only annoying if you treat them with disregard. PM them, give them instruction, compliment when they do something right, and they'll do anything you ask them to, and with a much better attitude than many vets I can mention.
I like newbies for this reason /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Your anger is justified b4life. Unfortunately you lost your technical newbie status so it is up to him to accept you or not.B4life wrote:QUOTE (B4life @ May 11 2008, 08:39 AM) I waited for 22 minutes in the main game (from 10 minutes in until it finished), commanded by hatkyinc, without being accepted. I am Lvl 9, yet at least 3 higher-level players were selected before me. Yet, from the start, yellow was stacked. For most of that time, yellow was down one or two pilots.
And this isn't the first time it happens.
Can I ask what was the point of refusing me and several others? You eventually lost. Surely I would have been useful, at least marginally.
P.S.: please spare me the "stop whining, noob" answers.
Yes - what you experienced is called "stacking" and it can ruin the fun of people. Hatkyinc is doing it a little too frequent for my taste as well. Its really a shame since he is a promising looking candidate on the Com chair but he quickly lost my sympathy with this sort of behaviour. Some people will always don't care about equal teams. Just don't fly for them anymore and kill their miner (or help in whatever way you can) /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

guys, from what Crono said it looks like he had it hard/was distracted.
When I was Comm'ing at work one time (yeh.. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />) I was being badly distracted. I apologized to everyone and said "I can't cope sorry all," dropped it on a vet and dc/ed. If it was the only time some of them had flown for me they prob added me to their no-fly list! I was on really bad form.
He also dropped and it seems that his team fell into disrepair and fell apart. Maybe he was being a dick about accepting you because he knew how badly he was doing and NEEDED a stack to save his team... I am guessing.
Don't feel bad about it, it really isn't that common, at least I never had much of a problem (it gets less and less the longer you're about) so just keep at it and try the tips above.
Good luck! and sorry about your experience!

I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Remember, what I say is IMO always. If I say that something sucks, it actually means "I think it sucks" OK?

Ogorass comms???ogorass wrote:QUOTE (ogorass @ May 12 2008, 12:00 AM) Yeah, comms tend to get busy and fail to notice the join requests (I know it happens to me sometimes). In such cases, just PM them with something like 'Care to accept?' or something. Just blinking there is somstimes not enough /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
