Raveen wrote:QUOTE (Raveen @ Mar 31 2008, 01:50 PM) The squad doubles tournament opens this weekend with the first two games.
The rules are as follows:
This will be a mini league with each team playing every other team. That means four games each.
Game settings: The engagements will be arranged so that each team is home for two games and away for two games.
The home team chooses between core and server with the away team getting to choose the other option. The Home team then picks between settings and map with the away team getting the other one. Factions are then decided upon by both teams.
All games will be standard conquest games.
Servers: Any server may be used.
Cores: DN 4.6, GoD II R5 and PC R19 are playable.
Maps: Any standard map can be used with the exception of Brawl. Be aware that the teams should be larger than the usual SGs and small maps may not work so well.
The first 10 pilots from each squad should play. If one squad shows less than 10 players then they should all play with the remainder being made up of the second squad. There must be at least 20 players per team for the game to count.
This avoids punishing squads with a good turnout if their partner fails to bring 10 players.
Scoring: A win will be worth 1 point, a loss 0 and a resign -1.
In the event of a draw at the end of the tournament base kills/cap difference will be taken into account followed by kill difference.
1 player from each squad should post the final results in the OC after each game including a screenshot of the final score page (only the team scores are needed, not the individual player scores).

I got the sides wrong, sorry. Even though it's the base kills that count more.
It's also peculiar to notice you've picked so much interest in the event after reading your first impressions.
