Sigh, in all of the time I have been involved with the Cadet program, I have not ever had such a cluster xxxx. /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

In a nutshell, 80% of the current applications have checked off the box "new player". I spent 4 hours last night setting up the Cadet I course. I am not going to spend eight hours today setting up the Cadet II -Vet course. I am not going to manually search each damn nick. I have trashed all of the applications. Sorry for those who did do it correctly. Please reapply.

So.... If you wish to participate in Cadet II (which is NOT for new players) please reapply via the link below. This is still the old Cadet material in a slightly revised version. The new Cadet II is still be written. (Get your butt in gear Ogo!) THIS COURSE IS FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE FIRM KNOWLEDGE OF GAME PLAY BASICS AND HAVE PLAYED THE MIN. AMOUNT OF TIME.

STOP - WARNING - STOP

If you fail to read the directions in the following link. If you are a NEW player and apply. If you send in invalid/not activated forum account names. If you have NOT taken the Cadet I course in our forums OR have played for a minimum of FOUR months AND you apply for this session. I will ban your ass from the game for a period of time. Sorry, just tired of stupid people wasting my time who can not read.

Apply AFTER reading this entire page. Directions on how to apply are contained on this page: http://www.allegacademy.org/cadet/cadet.shtml

Not sure, questions? Post in this topic. I will get back to you this week.

The next session will start on Friday night, April 18th.

Sorry for sounding pissed off, but I am a bit. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Sorry for being an ignorant n00b, but the CDT 2 application form has the following question:

Are you a new player (less than 6 months)? Y/N

I've done CDT 1 so I'm eligable for CDT 2, yet I've only been playing since December. Am I supposed to select yes or no?

if you haven't been playing for 6 months AND you haven't done cadet 1, but have read all of the relevant material in the academy, would you be permitted into cadet 2, or would you still need to do cadet 1 first?
and given the above, would there still be a minimum of 2 or 3 months gaming required before being accepted? or would all of the theory components + an intermediate ranking be sufficient? /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

i did not, and have not applied yet, but would like to know for future reference. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Firstly it is four months not six months. Secondly what BV has typed in big bold letters answers your question (If you have NOT taken the Cadet I course in our forums OR have played for a minimum of FOUR months AND you apply for this session. I will ban your ass from the game for a period of time), it is also repeated on this page of the Academy which should also answer most other questions you have about the Cadet course.

Your best bet would be to sign up for Cadet 1 which is open for all - a course of that has just started so I don't know if you could get onto that or you would have to wait until the next course in about 4 weeks' time. Think of completing Cadet 1 as being official proof that you "have read all of the relevant material in the academy" /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I would reapply, but I unfortunately I'll probably be too busy to be taking Cadet-II in a few days time...
Allegiance is, essentially, a lot of very fast button pushing. You just have to press the right buttons at the right times and in the right order. This is harder than it sounds.

hehe, i thought it was 4 months, but Turkey was quoting from the cadet 2 app (which i haven't read), so i just went with that

i read the requirements for the cadet stuff, but i was teh confudled because of the lack of explicitness. what BV said makes perfect sense when viewed as a standalone, but in the context it didn't completely answer my question. :(
cadet 2 says you need to have done either the four months, OR cadet 1. but cadet 1 says you can either do it on the forums or by yourself. either way i'll read the cadet 1 stuff, but if i can avoid burdening the mods/trainers with additional noobage in cadet 1 i figure that's all for the best (that and it would be nice to get in on the coming round of cadet 2 instead of waiting another month). so basically, does reading the cadet 1 material class as having DONE the cadet 1 material through the programme?

thanks for the help, enjoy the following spam

http://www.allegacademy.org/cadet/cadet.shtml
What is required?

NOTE: Cadet II* now requires one of two requisites. Either a minimum of FOUR months playing time or completion of the forum held version of Cadet I.
Plus a willingness to listen, read and learn. How much time a week? About 1-2 hours of reading a week. Figure another 3 hours a week to actually play and apply what you are learning. The course is 8 weeks in length. Each week has a specific topic and theme that rolls into the next week’s lesson.

* Either click on this link and sign-up for the Cadet I program. The Cadet I program will have a private forum and instructors to help you with the material and your questions. Why would you want to take the course? Simple, you will not be able to take the advanced course, Cadet II, without completing it. Or have almost instant answers to your questions.
* OR proceed with the reading at your own pace by following this link to start the course. You will be on your own.

Reading your own post text - PHAILED

EDIT: if you still don't get it - the answer to your question is: NO - reading the materials does NOT count as completing CDT I. That of course doesn't explain the lack of expliocitness in the application form which should say "4 monts or CDT I" instead of "6 months". That's what got me fooled anyway.

Current boot count: 2 boots
Boot #2 [16.04.08] (NOT deserved):
Comm's Version: Flying in circles around home OR staying in base while all-team bbr run was on.
My version: Getting podkilled after turreting a bomber that just died leading to being in base while comm went on boot spree.
