Although, I have bad news: nVidia managed to brake something in their newer drivers (100.xx and upwards), that makes Alleg get really bad FPS. You might want to grab 97.xx from their site (I believe that was teh latest version with no problems). Unless you get lucky, like some other lucky people did, wth 174.xx series (it was supposed to fix the problem with older games, but apparently not for all).
*By really bad FPS I mean 40 with regular drops to 10 on 8600 GS on 1024x800.
I noticed that problem when I first installed the game - the low FPS graphics issue. So I started to mess with the graphic options ingame - turn on the graphic accelerator 1 and 2 - fixed the problem, runs very smooth now. (was doing the training mission) What I didnt like though is I just launched allegiance again and none of my mapped keys saved (yes I clicked accept) after I had just set them all =(
The scripts (training missions) apply their own key bindings. You can override this by going in to Esc-G-C in the training mission and then hitting accept. (Basically you're overwriting the overwriting that the training mission did.) /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Could you post what exactly you did to fix the problem? We're trying to identify a proper solution for it.

Well I went to the graphic device option - noticed that the option "Never use 3d acceletor". Changed it to "Use 3d accelerator" Fixed my FPS and runs smoothly now.
Could you post the exact dirvers version you're using? That can be found by clicking on 'System information' link, bottom left corner of the 'nVidia control panel' window.
