Hey Zanderguard! Welcome to the game and the forums.

Rule #1 READ THE CHAT!

Rule #2 Be ready to be podded a few thousand times, but don't get discouraged. If you watch close you'll see that even the vets get podded.

Rule #3 Ask questions when there's time. Most ppl will answer them for you. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Rule #4 After you've finished Cadet (and Cadet II)

Rule #5 Always remember this: It's only a G A M E. Don't let it get you discouraged.

So.....yep, that's it from the naked flyer. Cya round!

Cadet is where it's at. It certainly cuts down on the banging your head against your desk due to frustration. Trust me, cadet certainly helped my understanding of the game. Interacting with the community, and asking questions also helps. GET Teamspeak.

I just remembered.

Set up TS and make sure to fly in the big Zone Game this saturday. They are great fun, and good for pilots of any skill level. Nothing like flying in a game of 120+ players to find your space feet quickly /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Ok cool. I'd rather start learning on real games rather than the newbie server. I don't wanna pick up any bad habits due to maxed out money settings etc.

I'd rather just go ahead with the main game and learn as I go. Be better that way. I'm about halfway through Cadet I and i've done the solo training missions so I have a feel for the controls and how to control my ship. Got a new joystick. SO yeah by Saturday I should have the rest of Cadet I read and be ready to atleast fly competently.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I can tell i'm going to get on fine here =)

Edit - Oh yeah I have TS, What self respecting gamer doesn't?

By the way. Talking of Cadet I. Does anyone know where the forum threads are for Cadet I and II as I can't seem to find them. Thanks - Z
