Check it out in 20mins from the time of this post to allow for upload.

You'll need the latest QuickTime or VLC to play it. (Or a codec pack which has x264 and AAC)

Source : 1:49 long, 1280x800 @ 30FPS
Statistics : x264-Insane, 3-Pass, ~1500kbps, no optimization for scene complexity.

Resolutions suggested by AEM work only if text is overlaid on - chat will be unreadable unless insane-er codec settings are used.

I fully expect that the bitrate I used is overkill for this codec. There are also optimizations possible with bitrate settings for specific range of frames. With this, you can set a lower bitrate for a calmer scene and jack it up during an action scene, thereby getting optimum bit usage.

P.S : Credits to ^Bard@RT for the hosting.

I did say that when clarity is needed (text) etc then I wouldn't downscale the image. and most likely use 800x600. But yeah I'm going to do some tests later this week. Got a bunch of stuff I need to get done for tomorrow.

Nice stuff Immz! Really nicely done!

I want that overlay thingy real bad and AEM's magnify thingy would be just the dogs b.....s. Can that overlay be added at the time of rendering? /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

Is it possible to mod the size of the red text and the chat part, and other stuff as needed?

EDIT: AWESOME QUALITY!!! All of you! The short one with the piratey music where can I find that tune and others like it? I see an Alleg playlist coming along.

Ghost I am unsure this sound?
Lads, lads lads! I am sooo happy that you are all keeping at it!

Did we want to keep the size down to a manageable level? I would have thought that the movies need to be of a size that allow for them to be nicely nestled in, say the wiki and other places?

Immz, whenever or if ever we decide on a format and settings lol. Could you please, please, please do us a screen cap and a "how to megui for Freeallegiance"! /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

Yes, I know I promised not to bump this thread again. Sorry in advance!

So where are we at? Is there another place we can go and talk about this? Or should we all go it alone and do our own thang?

I am continuing to use caricatures of peeps to teach and more importantly to hook the curious. I have created a couple of newbie quick help movies that are almost ready to go. Again I will ask if there is any artwork or shared resources for us all to use?

Is there videos of a squad games?

So many people are newbs may be because they never seen what higher levels of play looks like.
