I think the admins underestimated how much the community cared. As was clearly demonstrated, if a ban like that occurs the first thought that will occur to our minds will be "What the hell?" rather than "Lol!".

Anyway, I agree. Time to move on.

I was a bit surprised to see BEER getting banned(I've known him for years and never saw him stack), but joseph1 is what really confused me. As far as I know, the names on the banlist are the main account name of the player who gets banned and not the hider. I've never met a joseph1 and assumed he was a newbie. Banning a newbie for stacking felt really weird. I didn't think it was a prank, but since TE and BV always made good calls in the past and that I didn't personally see what happened(or read the logs), I didn't side with those were who against the ban.

I think that a change in the ROC to add stacking 1 week before April's 1st, fake bans 1 or 2 days before and the pilotXXX idea on april's 1st would have worked. Also, acting like asses was a mistake imo, it weakened the prank(since you guys never act this way) and just angered the community.

On a side note, I've seen people get extremely worried about getting banned for stacking in games in the last few days and we actually ended up with higher quality ones. It was obviously not worth the drama.

I think it could have been a pretty good joke, but fake buse of your powers kinda destroyed it.

I didnt' even realise it was a joke at all. (i'm always bad at getting jokes) All that I saw was a couple people got banned for stacking and wondered WHY it was done.

Personally, I think there were some good things that came out of the prank, namely some awesomely even games. It wasn't all bad ya know.

That's the problem with elaborate pranks, there's so much that can go wrong... at least with last year's April Fool there wasn't really anything that could go wrong.

Seriously though, changing up the nicks on April 1st would be awesome. You guys should still go ahead with that.
