Welcome to the short sweet and dirty part of making your very own Voice Chats.

Having played now for many years, I have heard most everything about the game's VC's from the way they sound, to what they actually say. I have also hade many people as how to make these, and in game it is hard to explain it.

First to keep in mind is that ONLY YOU will hear any changes you make to the VC. If this is fine, and you still think you have a cool idea... LEARN this step and the next will be much easier.

#1 DO NOT MAKE NEW VC OPTIONS. Why? Well if you hit those new key combos, you may error out of the game. Or send "unknown chat" to everyone, and this is annoying to say the least.

#2 MAKE a copy of the Art folder in the Allegiance Game file. This is what holds all the sounds as well as the art, If you mess things up, it is much less work to copy over the copied folder.

#3 Download and check for any malware, Viruses, and such a FREE program called Audacity. This records anything you can hear on your computer, no matter the format it originally started as. This simple, yet powerful program offers many options found on pay software.

#4 Start with 5 or less VCs you want to change, to find the ones you want means weeding through the art folder to find them... You will see this is a huge folder. So organize things by type as to find the sounds faster, and you will find every sound used in the game, so you will have your work cut out for you.

#5 Write down the name of the VCs you find you want to change. Now once you locate a VC you should find they are fomatted alike, except the part of the name. DO NOT CHANGE THAT NAME for anything. You only change the sound of that file.

Now you have the dirty method of making your OWN unique VC, in a safe manner, and one that will not annoy others, and crash your game

Now, if you enjoyed this part so much you decided to re-make the original VC options with much cooler, more updated and such options... You may want to share it with others, I would also if I put that much time and effort into a project like that.

Download another FREE program called ZIPGenius this little program zips, un-zips, and more than most pay prgrams, and is UBER fast, and easy to use.

Now, you will want to SAVE all the VCs you made to a folder called whatever you think works for it. Your name (Voice Chat pack).

Then have the ZG shrink that puppy for you, you will find for being free it packs a lot of power.

Now, you can post it in the forums here, under it's own topic. With a link to the file for us to download. Or, as you play and make friends, ask people if they would like to test it out, and give you feedback on it. Then in this forom for those who say I will try it, PM them a link to download it from. Of course tell them about how big it is, and where they are linking to. Many people will not just click a blind link. I am one of those.

The last option, only after getting it all worked out, and many people using it.... Is to ask for it to be included as a Downlaod in the Downloads section of this site. Then as people like they can use it, or not. Currently we have some VC options to down load, maybe you want to download the TE VC pack, as this offers a very well organized method of using the VC features, and has a few old VC from when the game was BETA, or even pre-Beta (Find Lava is one), and a Z option for really annoying VC options.

This will introduce to you wanting to share VC pack options a means to see how this all works in the end. And frankly TE's VC pack is one of the best out. (TE = Tiger Eye) If you plan to over-right and share new VCs using TE's structure please ASK HIM FIRST, as he put a ton of time into making that option for us.

I will not cover the mapping of keys, and the making of NEW and original VC options, as this method allows anyone interested to experiment without danger of crashing, or sending unknown chat messages to people.
