Did you install the visual C++ runtimes?
I loose my motivation to help out more and more each day to drama like this. Which is why I am mostly /meh on this point. I will continue to play as I always have, with the morals I have been rasied with and if this community finds they don't like myself and others like me who just enjoy playing the game with their friends on TS or squadies, then they can ban us and my Warhammer account, Girlfriend, and IRL activities will get a lot more attention and will thank them.

OK, try this to solve the .dll problem: make a copy of it in some other folder, then remove it from the original location. Chances are, that the installer will write a new copy if it doesn't find the file. If that doesn't work, use the copy you made to roll back the change (you can never know if some other app is not using this).

ATL.dll gets locked in sometimes. Boot your computer in safe mode, navigate to the Allegiance directory and delete the file. Reboot back in normally and install.

OK, this might be a stupid question, but have you tried running the installer by right-clicking on it and selecting 'run as administrator'?
Out of curiosity: which version of Vista are you using?

Im using Vista Home Premium. EDIT: I ran it as admin, and a couple things happend. 1) It didnt give me any errors during installation, so thats a plus /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> 2) It accually installed the C++ runtime. I thought it did before, but i think i was mistaken.
3) When I ran the game, I got a "Failed to Connect to server" error >.<' Good thinking though bro /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hehe, I guess sometimes the easiest solutions are hardest to find /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
As for the new problem: did you install any internet protection/antiviral software lately? (I know you posted you haven't, asking just to be sure) If so, post what it is here. Other thing you should do is to check if your router isn't blocking ports 2300-2400.

Check in the router's software. Look for something that lists "port forwarding rules" or something similar. Most routers I've seen have a pre-built rule called MS Gaming Zone, or you can look for a rule that covers the range of 2300-2400. With the current Allegiance release, we do NOT need to forward ports, but we do want to make sure those ports aren't deliberately blocked.

Is this a residential connection? Sometimes an ISP will block specific ports, but usually not ones used by Allegiance. If it's an office environment or a school, you might find them blocked (but you won't find that by looking in your router).
