I decided to update MA MDLUtility. It was written in vb6 back in the day. AdanFline did all the hard work on it, then I tweaked the UI a little.

I figured it was time to get rid of it as no one wants an old slow vb6 prog right. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

MDLUtility2.7z .90 beta (compressed with 7zip )

Its much faster than its predecessor, and supports more file types, and is 100% .net

It can read:
bmp.mdl 16bit/24bit (now inspects as well)
textbased bmp.mdl (using all ImportImage methods and inspects)
.png .jpg .bmp .emf .exif .gif .ico .tiff .wmf

Does not save to any mdl formats.
Can batch convert files.

If anyone finds a bug or has a suggestion, feel free to say.

Is there a way to import/export the bmps like in the original mdlutility? I can't find it.

Not at the moment. I hadn't decided if that was worth putting in or not with our move to text based bmp.mdls. If its something you think would be used, then I'll throw it in.

you're sure it works correctly all the time too?
i know we stopped using mdlfx in favour of the original tools because mdlfx would create buggy images which would crash the game.

(gauges, explosions, hanger door are all good things to test it on as they are non-static images)

Madp, I don't think this version on mdlutility can make alleg images, only read/view them.

oh, my bad, i should have checked what this one does, i assumed it was the same as the old one but not using VB6 and could handle additional formats

I have updated it to have a save as feature. Supports more file types as well.

Batch Mode: Instead of converting each file seperatly, Convert several files at once.
