The 2D calls were definitely what made my errors happen - only sprites were getting crazy artifacts and apparent Z buffer problems.

Z buffer writing should be disabled for sprite rendering. So.. does anybody know if direct draw is still being used for the 2d?

Well bad new folks.. I'm running 171.17 now and the framerate is still nailed at 12fps

Ahh well.. Dog did you say you were working on a code-side fix?

Here's hoping 171.18+ will fix it..

I know the standard grimwolf response, "It's being worked on", but maybe the person who's working on it might actually post up how he plans to fix it/theories on how to fix it/theories on what is actually wrong ?/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Lol.

As far as us not saying anything, neither myself or Grimmwolf is doing the coding. The dev's work is promising. If he'd like to post here and shed some light on what he has done there is nothing stopping him. I very very rarely ask devs not to mention something. The only thing I do sometimes ask is not to release un-tested builds at large.

I do it on purpose grim;)

So I take it the guy working on it is doing it anonymously?

There is a huge difference:

Grim = Grim_Reaper_4U
Grimm = Grimmwolf

Even if it's just one 'm'.

<-- Happy to test /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />. I've tried all the older versions, but the frame rate is still stuck low. And my laptop hard drive decided to crash on me, so I'm having some bad withdrawals.
