Newbie Server Rank Changes

If you are over a rank 4, do NOT play on the Newbie Servers from this point forward. The logistical change "should" occur on Feb. 1st. But due to time zones, server admins, etc. there will some leeway on the actual time it is implemented.

TO PROTECT YOURSELF: Do NOT play on the Newbie Servers if you are a Rank 5 or above. Bans are applied by an automated system. Multiple warnings will be posted and sent over the next few days. I will NOT rescind ANY newbie ban. Don't even ask. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Suggestion.... rename the ranks so that you are only a "Novice" if you are up to rank 4. Rename ranks 5-7 as Sub-intermediate 1, 2 and 3, or something like that (I can't think of a good title off the top of my head)

Otherwise I predict there will be people moaning about getting banned - not current players, they have enough warning, but if someone new comes along next month, gets to rank 5 and assumes that because they are ranked "Novice" they can still play on the newbie server...

perhaps 'Beginner' and then 'Novice' and only allow newbies/beginners on the newbie servers

They get a warning message when they rank up. If they are too stupid to read it, oh well...

Let us not forget that when they cross the threshold of newbiedom, they get an ASGS message informing them of the consequences of now being a (5) on the newbie servers. They are free to ignore this customized service at their own peril.
