ASGSClient.exe does not start...produces an error

Is Alleg crashing at (what I think you're describing as) the server lobby, or is it just hanging there? If the latter, it sounds like you're not communicating with the lobby server which is generally an indication that something (firewall) is blocking access.

I've always hated .net and I hate it more now.Could someone explain why it's so important? Aside from "because M$ says so?".

Really - this whole shenanigans of shifting to .NET 2.0 is MS' fault since they didn't keep their promise of having full compatibility between .NET versions.

sorry for the delayed response but yes i got it to work...and coincidentally it allowed me to use the Multiplayer features of Supreme Commander as well.
