What do you mean "have no choice"?

You have a choice, fix it or not.

Are you getting this problem and unable to resolve it?

He develops applications in .NET 3.5 for a living. He has no choice.

He has a choice then. He just happened to make the wrong decision. In his case he should quit his job, move back in with the parents and uninstall framework 3.5

Probably a lot cheaper just to buy an Alleg-capable machine. $400 is more than adequate, and you get a backup server. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

I like my job, I'd like to keep it.
I don't like the idea of buying a second (crappy) laptop just so I can play a damn game, even if it's Alleg.
My back wouldn't appreciate me carrying TWO laptops back and forth between my 2 main lairs (around 100 miles/150 km apart).
The above leave me with no choice but to sit on my lovely ass and wait for teh fix to come.

I get the same error, stuck between a rock and a hard place. First I try running asgs with my old setup and it tells me I can't because it needs net2 and then when I put net 2 on I get the failed to initialize..... Great to be back online, sad that alleg has decided it's not going to let me play. Oh yeah and when I get thru with this prob I'm sure that my new cable modem will give me probs too, lol, damned if you do, and damned if you don't. I was really looking forward to playing too while I was off work.

Oh yeah and to help things out, even if you have net2, you can't even reinstall alleg without net 1.1.......

sigh.. yes... .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 are complimentary programs... they are not upgrades in the traditional sense where you can expect some backward compatibility.

Think of the helpline instructions and documentation as orders from your commander: just do it or Alleg will boot you. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Yeah, finally fixed this prob by unistalling net2, net1.1 and then reinstalling net1.1 and alleg. Still can't play but I can now launch alleg.... I'll post about not being able to load the game list next... alleg just quits when I get there, sigh, I guess this is progress...
