I'm positive that I'm not alone in saying this, but Exp is getting old. If you want to win, you go exp. Simple as that. Tac and Sup can win, sure, but if you want a sure fire way to give your team a definite shot at winning, you go expansion. If your team is a bit more skilled or you're feeling daring, you can go Sup or Tac. But if the enemy is Exp, they can counter your SF's w/ PP's and they can counter your bombers w/ hvy ints. Nothing, however, can really counter heavy ints. Shouldn't there be some way to counter hvy ints? Like, say, maybe a Sup/Tac gun that happens to shred ints? I don't see how that's any more cheesy than ints carrying a probe that can see SFs or ints having guns that rip figs to shreds.

Also I've witnessed a few really good BIOS comebacks recently. They were holed up into 1 sector, and they manage to bust through and come back to win it. It's really fun to see, and it definitely makes BIOS a threat all the way until the very end. No other faction has this ability.... but why? BIOS is weak in the beginning, yes, but they aren't THAT weak. Once GS is up they're as powerful as any other faction. Anybody else think it'd be nice if EVERY faction had such a comeback ability? I think GT definitely does, and I've seen GT make some impressive comebacks, but I can't say the same for all the other factions.

I'm not posting this expecting a huge revamp to DN or anything, because it won't happen. Mainly I just wanted to see if anybody agrees with me.

I do like my anti-int gun idea, though. It could potentially make for some more variety to your average pickup game.

Ints should just not be the best miner killers in the game. Ints are the fastest to get to the enemy miners and they got everything they need to destroy any miner defense that they could meet. They can also load pps.

An anti-int gun would sound counter intuitive since ints are supposed to be the best at killing stuff.

As for bios, I think that GS are overrated and that people should just learn to int bomb against bios. GS and bios basic figs can't do much vs ints.

Move PW damage/range to sup. That would make ints less powerful and figs more deadly. Add a +10% EW range GA to Tac to make SFs more deadly.

How do gatts fare against medium armour compared to light? Maybe changing the armour type of the int would work?

up the price of ints (12.5k base of heavies, 10k regular), up the price of mini (6000 each, with half the treasure ratio) or eliminate from the game GA yield 1 and 2
Classifiable up to Trolleomorphism.

Exp just needs to cost more, that's all. If you have problems with ints boosting into your sectors and killing your miners, get scouts out. Drop a couple probes around the sectors you're mining, since you know, Ints have 200+ sig while boosting, you should be able to catch them before they reach your miners.

What's the technical name for a probe? Oh yeah, Early Warning System. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

If ints are reaching your miners after boosting 2 sectors then something is wrong with your coordination. 1 Scout guarding the aleph with prox and a spotter who calls drop will result in the ints going pop, pop, pop in the mines.

As for increasing fighter damage, whats the point of having interceptors when they even have trouble dogfighting fighters?

Also its not like the int has unlimited pulseprobes. If your a smart stealth pilot you'd fire a missile, unmount, move away and repeat to waste his pulse probes. Do that and its very rare for an int to find and kill you with just 2 pps. Interceptors require aiming, how hard if cloaking and firing missiles?

I agree with upping the cost but nerfing the ships will eliminate exp as a techpath

Absolutely Bacon. However, as you can see there are many people who think "it's fine", so there's really nothing else to do but keep wtfpwning them with expansion. :-/ They will get it eventually, but then we will have new people again, thinking "it's fine" and so on and so on...
Oh and not to mention those who actually agree with you Bacon but will cry bloody murder if...I don't know...ints get more signature, or something as logical as that anyway.
