McBowlz, stop forum lawyering and do one of the following.
Enroll in CDT, Finish CDT, then Enroll in ACS. If after that you can tell me it's not a good system, I'll lick all of Serb's Goats.
Don't do CDT, or ACS, and learn to command in under 2 months competently.
You've been here what 2 months? There are people here that have been doing this kinda crap for 7 years. You don't think they don't know what they are doing. Guess again.
ACS Question

... right. Ok, well since people seem hellbent on misinterpreting me, let me make this abundantly clear for, hopefully, the last time.
It was a suggestion
You know, as in "Hey, I've had this idea, and since it hasn't come up (that I've seen), I'm going to put it out there and see if anyone would like to use it. Take it or leave it."
Not once has it been my intent to imply that ACS doesn't work.
You aren't required to agree with me. But I will defend my point of view.
And incidentally gui: CDT I; taken. CDT II; applied for. ACS; can't wait to take it.
Thx

Then stop trying to press your "suggestions" on the people running it. That above doesnt sound like a suggestion, it sounds like an accusation about why you can't just do it. Guess what, deal.
And trying to defend a position that isnt right, and has data to back it up, is sort of like standing in front of a train. Not too healthy for you.

Tell you what. Go back through the thread and find a quote where I was pressing my suggestion on any of the people running it (namely BV and Clay. If there are others, I don't know who they are). If you can do that I'll concede your point. In fact, if you can even find a quote where I wasn't agreeing with the program leadership's right to make the decision, I'll concede your point.guitarism wrote:QUOTE (guitarism @ Dec 6 2007, 03:21 PM) Then stop trying to press your "suggestions" on the people running it.
until then, post something constructive.

It has been mentioned that (by Shiz IIRC) that ACS was made public last year and that it failed miserably.McBowlz wrote:QUOTE (McBowlz @ Dec 6 2007, 11:40 PM) But not the solution that cash and I have suggested, or rather, if it has been tried, it hasn't been mentioned in this thread.
QUOTE Never said, or even implied, that I knew more about comming than anyone. In fact, I'm the first to admit I know next to nothing about comming. Hence my interest in ACS. But you don't have to know about comm to be able to see logical flaws in an argument.
You misunderstand me. I was refering to you 'knowing better' about how ACS/CDT should be run.
QUOTE As I'm not really sure what trolling is, but I assume it's a synonym for "brown nosing" given the context, I'll just say this. When it comes to the ACS/CDT programs, their will is law. I'd say my statement gets that point across pretty clearly. If pointing out the obvious truth is trolling, well then, guilty as charged I guess.
Nope, no brownnosing. I said that it was attempt to troll. Google or wiki it. Oh, you can also call said line a 'flame bait'.
QUOTE I asked a question, and made a suggestion to the powers that be. If you'll read back, you'll see I even went so far as to say that BV and Clay saying "We like the way we do things, we're not going to change it." makes more logical sense than the other responses. After all, they're the ones who put in the work. I was going to point out why those other responses had flawed logic, but I didn't even bother, so... thanks for the input I guess.
About a dozen of people that answered to this thread are (or were) in some way involved in ACS and/or CDT, be it runing it or creating the material. Most made valid points, so it seems to me, that the only answer you are ready to accept is a big, red, bolded out 'NO'... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

It seems to me that McBowlz was being completely reasonable, and you were ignoring the points that he made. Hes right that it can be both, and your wrong to try to hold the communities hand by not giving them both because "It will give them big heads", if you are going to have a big head, reading and learning about the game is not going to change that.
