Tried that too, still no luck. I get the same error:

• Connectivity failure. Check your internet connection.
• The operation has timed-out.

Any other suggestions?

Are you SURE your Internet Explorer is "Working Online"?
Have you tried toggling the "Use IE Proxy Settings" setting in ASGS?
Have you tried changing ASGS's Connection Port?

I think its a firewall blocking ASGS. I've gotten this when Sygate was blocking an updated version of ASGS. What firewalls do you have? If you have Windows firewall, did you add Allegiance and ASGS to the exceptions?

The only firewall that is activated is my build-in Nvidia firewall. Windows firewall is deactivated. On the other hand I tried all the settings with a disabled and enabled Nvidia firewall. Still the same results :(

The nVidia firewall is horrible. It does stateful packet inspection and is crash prone. I'd say uninstall the firewall driver completely and try.

I don't believe it! It really was the nvidia firewall. Though I completly deactivated it, it blocked the game. Thank you very much!

You're lucky. When I first got my nForce4 motherboard, I gleefully installed the nV firewall drivers. My system wouldnt boot into XP anymore. I had to do a HDD wipe to get back. Be wary! nV Firewall sucks! I'd like to add this possibility into the KB. Anyway, glad you got it /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
