...and yet strangely, I find it to be lots of fun.

A core & maps oriented specifically towards DM would be an interesting experiment. I'd like to see it, maybe even take a shot at it myself sometime. A Descent core could be a lot of fun if done right and accompanied by the right maps.

The only time I can see DM might be fun is to have it held in Brawl with tons of asteroids... like SpiderWeb (or whatever that map is) in the center.

OOOOOOOOooooo Descent gets a mention.
'4'4'4'4'4!

I'm all for Descent core. Hell, I'm all for Descent games now and again. I have both Descent and Descent 2, who's up for some Anarchy or RoboAnarchy one day?

Back in Beta (I think open beta) PlanetAllegiance used to organize 30 min DM's, with awards given to the top 3 kill leaders. Can't remember the kill ratio but it exceeded the 1 kill per minute ratio for the top dogfighters... Of course these where before the sector overload days... migth even have been before the idiotic DX network code.

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Wow. That made me hard.
