Nope.

Unless like the_dare said, with troop transports.

By "warthog mode" I meant the sort of gravity-defying driving you encounter while driving a warthog in Halo.

Also, why no hopping in/out of vehicles?

Ok tell you what, if the following points are obeyed, then hopping in and out of vehicles is completely fine:

a) No boarding (it's pretty unfair if you "pod" someone and they board you and drive off ...

b) When you get out of a vehicle, you start to lose health (i.e you can only get out of a vehicle for lets say 30 seconds to 1 min before you die.)

c) If you leave your vehicle, only you can get back into it.

Otherwise the game would be too imbalanced.

Hmm...It would prevent people from deserting their team, climbing up on a rock, and practicing their 1337 sniper skills, if they were stuck inside their vehicles...

On the other hand, it would be nice for infantry to play a role other than just base invasion. Maybe make certain vehicles (such as, for example, scout bikes) exit-able, and others not?

Or make an infantry mobility suit as an extra unit option.

That would be very annoying, though. What's wrong with people jumping out of their vehicles to do stuff? It's certainly more realistic. And the idiots who refuse to participate with their team, and just snipe from hills, are going to get booted.

Ok, fine.

But no boarding or vehicle stealing allowed.

Here's an interesting idea:

You have to get out of vehicles to get some pickups /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
