Issues Preventing From Game Play

Okay after i begin play i encounter random jumping of ships when in dog fights, or i bounce around when trying to dock. My autopilot takes 5min to get in dock. By jumping i mean when i target the outpost and see the green lined entrance and line up... 3 secs later it warps out of place. Ships do the same. I can't hit anything i aim at. I tried looking under my bios for problems listed with this post

Also this post i checked out but do not know how to check my FPS, or to modify whatever he did to fix his problem..

My screen twitches every now and then too, which tells me it might be graphics related. But im still unsure.

jumping around is usually indicative of a poor internet connection and/or packet loss, if you will.

Try pinging both these addresses and report the results: 84.243.253.92 (Euro servers) 204.14.16.226 (Stripe)

Sev. If your nVidia, go to your control panel for it and look at "3D options" in the look for "Vsync" and make sure it's off.

That'll solve your problem i'm sure.

(When in game press alt F and look for "sync" if it's above 101 then its prob this problem, i was getting 117!!)

well i traced both ips and got 1100ms and spikes up to 1500ms..
Thats weird because i dont lag from any other game

Can you supply a tracert? It will report, hop-by-hop, where the problem is. We may not be able to solve it, but we can at least isolate it.

start -> run -> 'cmd' -> 'tracert <ip address>'

e.g. tracert 204.14.16.226

How do i copy the all the information down and paste it in a reply message. The cmd window does not allow me to copy..

There's a 'select' or some such option in right-click context menu. Use that and you'll be able to select text in the console window /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

you can also redirect the output to a file if you like. (This comes in handy for all sorts of things.)

tracert ip_address > filename.txt

will send the output to a file called "filename.txt" in the current folder. You can then edit, copy, etc. the contents of the file with any text editor.

I couldnt get the last ping since my tracert auto closes when it is done. Hope this helps you help me. cause i would realy like to get back into playing.
