Well, yeah. I understand the physics of it in the game universe. I was just thinking that from the standpoint of reality, a probe is going to be FAR more massive than a single bullet (though you're right about it moving at far less speed, and the pressure being focused as opposed to widely distributed). I mean, we're not talking about anything SUPER massive, but you gotta figure a probe is gonna weigh quite a bit.
To borrow your comparison, it's be like being shot in the head vs. driving your car into a stationary motorcycle... except that your car is moving 100+ MPS as opposed to it's usual top cruising speed of, say, 120 mph.
I'm not by any means suggesting that anything be changed about the game... I'd be irritated if nicking a probe ripped my HInt a new one.
I just think it's kinda funny that the probe goes down, but your paint job still looks new.
Even funnier is when you bounce off a probe your team laid when FF is off. You bounce like a skipping stone, and the probe sits there like it weighs more than your OP.
Deprobing
Another key to deprobing is effectively probing a sector at the same time. I try to probe certain areas in certain ways. Then when I look at that sector I can see if someone has destroyed any of MY probes...chances are if I head to a part of the grid where my probe no longer is...an enemy probe has been planted :-)
