I'm not sure, since I can't read German, but I think that modem is also a router. Have you tried to forward the ports?

If you are using a proxy, try toggling the "Use IE Proxy Settings" option in ASGS.

It is a router.
Use:
http://192.168.0.1
User: admin
password: password

to log into your router. Then forward the ports or enable port triggering.

Just to make things clear, no it is not a router. It's a normal DSL-Modem. So it doesn't need port-forwarding.

And no I'm not using a proxy.

Before more of these advices are coming (though I appreciate them), I'm used to working with computers (and especially Windows) for more than 16 years. Also I have an apprenticeship as an IT-Assistant, so I know how to work around most of the problems wiht Windows. Still I'm at the end of my knowledge here and would be very happy if someone knows a way I haven't tried yet.

Theoretisch richtig, praktisch falsch.

/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Ansonsten selber nochmal schlau machen:

Here is something on how to gain access to the modem/router hybrid:

Here are some links on how to configure the thing:

Most of us here worked with computers for a long time. (I started with DOS 4.01) I still learn a new thing every once in a while.
Now you did. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Thanks for the help Grimwolf and it's true that you never stop learning, still the problem isn't solved. Tryed all the settings even forwarded some of the necessarry ports (unlucky as I am there are only 20 entries availabel for port-forwarding and they can only be used for single ports), but still it gives the same damn error. On the other hand my emule now tells me that it can't reach port 4662. That in mind my conclusion is that the ports were available before and it isn't the problem of my modem/router.

Guess I have to buy a new router/modem or I will never be able to play allegiance. :(

If your router is incapable of forwarding ranges of ports (2300-2400), then forward only two individual ports: 2300 and 2301.

Then run dxport and tell it to reconfigure your Allegiance to use 2300 and 2301 instead of the usual 2300-2400.

You should then be good to go.
