no game list servers are being found?
ok, so I can log onto and off and play test missions fine, and it will look for lan games (none to connect to in any case) but when I click on play free online games it goes into the next screen of motd/updates but it just sits there without turning on the connect to game list button, but the main menu button comes up green when passed over and works fine. I was playing earlier about 2 1/2 hours ago and logged off, when I came back I could not find any game lists, I ended up reading alot of connectivity and error message posts but none seem to have this issue, I'm on dial-up and have restarted both my connection and computer, and even have re-installed the game but the same problem persists...any ideas? am I somehow still logged into the game list but am able to log in and out of the asgs?
Did you change any firewall settings recently?

not that I know of and added the asgs to the exception list as well when it was just listing the game exe itself the "microsoft allegiance game" exception...I'm going to check everything again in the firewall, but can't really think of what else to try, just got done updating the video card driver as well...another thing I noticed which may be helpful is that there is no sound within the game anymore...but other than what I posted before there's nothing showing anything wrong and also I don't get any error messages at all pointing towards anything either...it's like it gets to the motd page and just stops trans/receiving anything through asgs? lol, thx though for the firewall idea
If you aren't even seeing the Message Of The Day, then Allegiance.exe is somehow blocked from the internet.
Keep in mind that ASGSClient.exe is separate from Allegiance.exe. Both executables need to be cleared by your firewall in order to get through.
We had an update on August 1st... if this is the first time you're trying to play since then, your firewall may not be accepting the new .exe.
Try removing the firewall exception for Allegiance.exe and re-adding it.

I dunno if it'll help but I copied the console window in the asgs login menu for the duration of a log in and log off session...

Nope, that doesn't help... ASGS is working perfectly.
Your problem is within Allegiance itself. If it isn't showing the message of the day, nor is it allowing you to click the "Free Games Listing" button it is because Allegiance.exe cannot access the internet.
99% of the time this is due to a firewall disallowing access to Allegiance.exe
The other 1% it's because of severe restrictions put on your internet connection, usually by your boss if connecting from work or something.

if only it was a administrator thing from at a job...but nope it's just a home pc...the last things I have tried are as you stated which was to reclear the exceptions, which I took them off then restarted then tried accessing allegiance then hit the "unblock" that came up, but still a no go...I'll try some things to figure it out and if I get it I'll post here again...thx
