I did apply on 13th, I got the confirmation mail.

There is a tiny difference between my login (piotre) and my forum dispay name (piotrek). I would have change the last one but I did not find how...
They are close enough.

No, you don't just "fly" around.

You'll learn every bolt and nut of almost all ships, weapons and bases. You'll learn to fly, navigate, scout and fight. They teach you tactics for several strategies (defence, offence, intel gathering) so you survive longer. The squads are introduced and you may observe squad battles to learn from the pro's. Teamwork is stimulated.

... and ...

You learn the secret how to put holes in his shield of our beloved "goat" vet /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

(it's a cult pilot who you'll soon encounter - muwhawhawha)

you cant say that

sf week,
only game IC exp vs dreg exp
cadet: comm, buy me a tac so i can fly sf plz
comm: no, its not in my game plan
cadet: i guess i have to sit in base until you get me a sf to fly
comm: no, you have to sit in lobby til next game

yeah, your going to say they can go revise the previous weeks topics (i.e. go fly a scout and probe or nan something)

I'm just pointing out you cant say one ship, all the time

pedantic is the word

also it means they are not allowed to fly pods...

Spoken like we don't have a system in place /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

I quote from memory. "We ask you to fly the ship of the week. If it is available. Otherwise revert back to one of the ones we have covered. **Exception is if the commander asks everyone to D in ints as an example.** The commander's requests override Cadet."

The concept is for them to really learn what a scout is all about as an example. No tac games? We ask them to put one up on JG's Cadet server as an example so they get the chance to practice.

Sorry if you think our teaching methods are narrowly, stodgily, and often ostentatiously learned. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> I think I can get a couple hundred past Cadets to argue differently.

Madpeople, with all due respect... please don't meddle in affairs that do not concern you.

The cadet forums have extensive guidelines on what to do, replicating them here in their entirety simply made no sense.

QUOTE Thank you for your application to the Allegiance Cadet Program. You have been
placed on the list for the next session. A new session starts every 4 weeks.

You do not need to do anything further if you complied with the requirements of
sending both your forum name and in-game name.[/quote]

I to applied for cadet program a few days ago, and am not on the list. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

^^ he is saying that as a fixed rule
so i illustrated that that as a fixed rule is unworkable and that his post is untruthful (but untruthful to make a point, yeah i know that)

i highlighted the important part of that post

yeah, i figured out that much, but notice how your rule of when to use the ship of the week is different to the "you must always use this ship" rule at the top of this post?

now just to make my point, i will re-quote some parts

ah such fun madpeople the psychic has in predicting the future /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

who said anything about that? i made no comment on that, i just said the rule as deng posted it was unworkable, i knew you would actually use a sensible rule.
i thought i made my post quite clear that that was all i was going to argue

oh well

/argument people took this further than i expected
-> thread re-railed

edit, p.s. its helpfull as a comm to know that you have to specifically tell cadets to D in ints if it is scout week. i have known some cadets to argue with the comm that they have to fly scout and get booted (not me though, but another comm, i think i heard about it in rants?? or maybe in game)
