I remembered this last night after I'd gone home. So it's a bit tardy, but anyway:

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
It's not so much a possibility as a certainty.Adept wrote:QUOTE (Adept @ Oct 3 2007, 02:48 PM) I just played this faction, and I see what you mean. I'm still not sure I agree completely. Admittedly it will make things more difficult for them, but that could be considered a feature and not a bug. Actually it's pretty cool that one can either take it carefully, or risk the more traditional 150-300 speed entry and the possibility of going splat. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

actually, it's been proven to be a bug, with proposed fixes, but hasn't been hashed out yet. basically, the actual model of the door is screwed up, with some specifics about it not fitting the base model. Terralthra has submitted what was thought to be a fix, but no such luck as of yet. There are some docking techniques that minimize the screw up possibilities, but it is still very possible to bounce off violently.Adept wrote:QUOTE (Adept @ Oct 3 2007, 05:48 PM) I just played this faction, and I see what you mean. It's the easiest way to deal with huge complex posts.Mikhail wrote:QUOTE (Mikhail @ Oct 4 2007, 05:57 AM) Ogorass why do you guys always have to single out every sentence and comment it? Well, what ImmZ said. Plus I sort of gained a habit of gutting posts while reviewing current CDT material. Besides, it's fun /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />Mikhail wrote:QUOTE (Mikhail @ Oct 4 2007, 02:27 AM) Ogorass why do you guys always have to single out every sentence and comment it? Make that 2 posts. Generally people forget ff is on and only find out while trying to dock. The only + to ff is being able to kill probes someone has augzed outside your base.Zamargo wrote:QUOTE (Zamargo @ Oct 3 2007, 08:43 PM) Well ive never played with it on but it sounds fun.lol there im on topic
