The rush feeling
I used to play survival horror games like silent hill for that adrenaline rush, but they don't seem to get my excited anymore. I thought I would never feel it again until I started playing this game. There's nothing like grabbing a nan for a bomber run and watching all the other nans get podded while you do your best to avoid enemy fire. The constant incoming missile alarms and gunfire get me every time.

And yes I still do know how to use a nan I get super excited/nervous in big, long games (or squad games) when I'm SBing or HTTing. Those two roles where you have to be stealthy and time everything you do very precisely really gets my blood going. It's fun, but it's stressful, and generally I won't play another game afterwards because it's too freaking stressful. I guess I might also get it when I'm regular bombing and my hull is dropping just a BIT faster than the last missile is arming...
Other than that I don't really ever get that feeling anymore... Int whoring is fun if I can get into the rhythm of it, but I don't get that "OMG if I screw this up we are going to lose the game" feeling that SBing and HTTing gets me.
I still think the most satisfying thing in Alleg is podding a bomber. Seeing 3 kills pop up on your screen like that is quite gratifying.

Squad games as a whole get my blood pumping. There have been several instances where after a particularly good SG, I could not sleep because of being so wired. I'd have flashbacks in front of my eyes while trying to sleep. In the end, I just give up trying to sleep and get back on TS/IRC and chat with the guys till I start seeing double.
Yup. I've totally had that. Particularly after beating PK. I was still grinning inanely on Monday morning /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />ImmortalZ wrote:QUOTE (ImmortalZ @ Sep 18 2007, 09:08 AM) Squad games as a whole get my blood pumping. I know that feeling, and I don't really like it, but not from playing Allegiance. It's from...Tomb Raider. More stressful and frankly more scary than Allegiance could ever be. In comparison, Alleg is a holiday.Bacon wrote:QUOTE (Bacon @ Sep 18 2007, 08:21 AM) I get super excited/nervous in big, long games (or squad games) when I'm SBing or HTTing. RT: The number of typical responses decreases exponentially as the number of joke options increases.

i get the feeling when i command. when you get to those crucial moments that you either do it right or lose. i remember especially a time when i was nix and 5 dreg adv full trimmed figs went to kill my adv miner. i foresaw the move, and rushed to the miner. then bam! one, BAM! two, B A M ! three, !34(\/)! FOUR, BAM, GODDAMN 5, with my last (exp had blown) heavy int. that miner was our last one, he bought an exp, a transceiver, a tac, a sup, and many many bombers.
i get the feeling when you do one of those unachievable goals, like podding solo an entire 6 or 7 man bomb run 2k from your opening op with a basic fig that will most likely decide all the game, those times when you NEED to tab to ALL and shout out loud 'THAT´S HOW IT´S DONE, BITCHES!' /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
