I don't think it ever got very far, I checked the guy's site a couple months back. I beleive his idea was to make more of a sy game using the alleg engine, lot's of lobbing missiles at other caps.

Umm, why would you use the alleg engine when there are much better 'free' (and not tied to MS software agreement) graphics engines out there?

Now we of course use it as there is a LOT more than the graphics engine in the code base. And the current engine provides a lot of the 'charm' and feel. Alleg would just not be alleg with a different graphics/rendering engine.

they have done some really great work on the graphics of that version of Alleg. It would be good if they could create a core for freealleg /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />...

He's not using the Allegiance engine, he's using TSE (Torque Shader Engine).

There are at least three 'clones' underway (that I know of) being made by members/former members of the Allegiance community.

None use the allegiance engine. /glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />
