Hm, yeah.
If everything looks OK at first, but slowly starts looking "weird" then it's usually a sign of impending doom for your videocard. Especially if you start seeing "artifacts" or jagged lines popping up in the middle of gameplay.

I also have had this problem. But only during the training sessions #2 & 3 and only when the ship is slewed by the computer. I have no other problems during game play or such just the screen goes black and the reticule/ship info stays. I tried no aa, reconfiged my vid card, disabled the OC on the vid card, etc. In safe mode everything works no problem. I tried turning off all the options under graphics but could not proceed with the trg missions no matter what I tried. The symptoms that appear similar to this are related to nvidia cards wheras I have an ati card. It seems concidential that 2 of us suddenly had this unheard of problem very recently.
If there is an advanced config file (I looked and saw nothing) let me know and I will play around seeing if I can get the trg scenarios to work fully on my system.
I am curious if this may be related to a network connectivity problem. I can not connect to the lobby as of yet since I have to forward ports on my *nix server to allow allegiance to pass through Allegiance needs to be able to hear ports 2300-2400 in order to play due to the nature of my iptables rules the ports are blocked. I will fix this and report. Sadly this is not as easy as usual as this is my backup server (meaning it may take a while).
