Member number...
Just posted a reply to a blog, see this page, and noticed it gives everyone's "member number" by their name next to the comment they have made. Is this ALL members ever? Or only ones that have made a certain number pof posts? Or ones that are still active? I'm sure there's been loads of people who have joined and not been particularly active or even active at all. I just find it a bit hard to believe that I am in the oldest 10% of this community /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

everyone has a member number.
click the members thing, do it by join date in ascending order and then they are in order of member number.

The middle chunk of pages, 900 through to 1400 I think, are stuffed up. They just display the same member about 200 times before changing.
And the answer is Yes, yes I was bored one day.
+++Edit. Member 19052. Weeee *twirls finger*

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
You joined in 04 when the community was still very small. 05 and 06 saw *huge* increases in the player base.Gandalf2 wrote:QUOTE (Gandalf2 @ Jul 1 2007, 08:49 AM) Just posted a reply to a blog, see this page, and noticed it gives everyone's "member number" by their name next to the comment they have made. I refused to join FreeAllegiance.org for years until I finally gave in. I probably have a high member number :x

The Allegiance community currently hates their sysadmin because he is doing: [Too Much] [____________|] [Too Little]
Current reason: Removing the PayPal contribute page. Send Bitcoin instead: 1EccFi98tR5S9BYLuB61sFfxKqqgSKK8Yz. This scale updates regularly.
Fixed... you waited 27 days, since registration opened on 1-JUL-03 /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ Jul 3 2007, 11:24 AM) I refused to join FreeAllegiance.org for weeks until I finally gave in. The Escapist (Justin Emerson) @ Dec 21 2010, 02:33 PM:
The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
