Internet Service Provider(company name): KPN
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): Friesland, Netherlands
Installed Mods:
Some higher res textures

Problem Encountered at Step 13
Which Program: Allegiance
What Error Message: none

The game freezes the moment I launch my ship. I see the outside but am unable to do anything. Can't alt+tab to another app (task manager) can't minimalize, can't bring up the start menu. So if it weren't for my secondary monitor, there would be no way but reset. Never happened before, happened to me twice today. First time was at the start of a game when I first tried to launch. Second time when I reentered and tried to launch again

Teenagers can't sing the blues. Adults sing the blues. Blues adulthood means old enough to get the electric chair if you shoot a man in Memphis.
Persons with names like Sierra or Sequoia will not be permitted to sing the blues no matter how many men they shoot in Memphis

It is usually caused by an old DX version. Go to microsoft.com and download the most recent edition of DX9.0c. It should be the april or june version.

incidentally I did that during the installation of another program. My directX said I had 9.0c but the installation asked for it anyway. I only had the problems twice (in a row) and not again after that, even before I installed 9.0c (again). Thanks though

Most programs come with only the DX9.0c version thats out at the time of their release. Allegiance requires a fairly recent build of 9.0c. Download it from MS.com and install it. Doesn't hurt to keep it updated.
