well........ i cant log into allegiance at all, at first i was not even connecting to the server, now i get the "gauranteed message could not be delivered" error.

i have gone through the help files and checked eveything i can think of

OS - win xp pro sp2
cpu - amd athlon 64 3200+ (venice)
ram - 1.5gig ddr
connection - 16meg adsl2
modem - speedtouch thompson 510 v6
router - netgear rp614v2

the ports i have forwarded are 2300-2400 udp and tcp and port 80
my ips are all correct and have done plenty of port forwarding
upnp is off on both my modem and router (got further with connecting with them off)

any ideas? or more info needed let me know /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

update - - tried port triggering, still no joy :/ gonna order a new modem/router thats quite cheap. but would still appreciate any help with my current set up /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

That error message means you're forwarding only TCP. Allegiance needs both TCP *AND* UDP to be forwarded.

Doublecheck your rules to make sure both protocols are forwarded over 2300-2400

Hey Rodders ...

Some things I would look at are:
1) Double check windows firewall settings
2) Check to see if you have 'packet filtering' on the router... and turn if off.
3) Triple check that you don't have duplicate port triggering and port forwarding rules ...
4) Any thing like 'Norton Internet Security'?
5) Update the firmware on the Netgear ,,, I never had problems with Alleg, but I have had other issues with different firmware revisions.

windows firewall off - first thing i do when installing windows cos it sux,
packet filtering is not on
no rules are duplicated
no norton on this machine (i use kaspersky for av and outpost firewall which i have turned off to see if they are the problem)
the netgear router is upto date

update: the problem after going through everything numerous times is............. the darn router :( so i have ordered a new modem/router, hopefully should all be fine when it arrives /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
